Well we have had a great weekend. Started it off by surprising the kids with a trip to San Antonio all day Friday. We hung out at the RiverWalk all day. Went to the IMAX and saw the Ocean 3D movie, had ice cream at the Marble Slab, took a river boat cruise, had dinner at hooters, and checked out the stores in the mall with a longer stay at the Disney Store. 🙂
Yes, Friday made for a great day and could not have asked for better weather. We finally made it back to Austin that night and had some dinner and rented the The Rocker on pay per view. Not a bad movie and had a good time watching that while winding down for the night. Had to get some reast because we had just as big of a day planned for Saturday.
Saturday started off as we do on most weekends with Dad (me) making breakfast like a pro IHOP cook. Feel like I should make a menu for these kids. Then we got ready and headed downtown for our annual visit to the Sesame Street show. We could not have had better seats. I think we met all the characters except Elmo and Big Bird down on the floor. Of course we had to have the cotton candy and a pretzel to make the show just right. Weather was much cooler out but was not bad compared to some years.
So we headed off to the house after the show to make some dinner and get ready to see Coraline in 3D. I bought our tickets on-line and glad I did. We got there a little early but still had to get in line to get our 3D glasses and the show was sold out. Nice glasses and you get to keep them so that was cool. Had decent seats near the top where we like to sit. We had a good time and the movie was good and worth the ticket price. Then we headed back home and rented Pirates of the Caribbean on pay per view. The night ended off with watching Man Vs. Wild and off to bed.
Yeah we are enjoying our 4 day weekend and so far we started if off with some french toast and watching Sponge Bob marathon. So I am going to wrap this up because I need to get the little one ready to go. She’s off to see Sesame street with her mom later today and her younger half brother. She’s having a great weekend for being 4 years old. 🙂
