Activision and Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has picked up three accolades at the BAFTA Video Game Awards.
The game, first released in 2007, picked up the Gameplay, Story & Character and the GAME Award of 2008 – the last voted for by over 60,000 users of the GAME website.
Electronic Arts was also a big winner at the event in London, as new IP Dead Space picked up both awards in the audio categories, Boom Blox was voted best Casual title, and Spore won the Technical Achievement mask.
Nintendo’s Mario Galaxy picked up the Best Game award and DS title Professor Layton and the Curious Village took away the Handheld gong.
The critically acclaimed LittleBigPlanet received the Artistic Achievement award, while Fable II took Action & Adventure.
